You hire the senior strategist for the job

You hire the senior strategist for the job. Six weeks later, the work is being done by someone you've never met. If you've ever hired a consultant, you'll know the pattern. The senior is on the proposal, in the kick-off and quoted in the credentials. Then their calendar fills, the next job comes through and the work moves down the team. You end up briefing a graduate on context the senior person already had. This is not an accident. It's how many mid-tier firms are built. Senior people sell. Junior people deliver. The economics depend on it. The most common frustration I hear from clients is some version of "we hired the A team and got the C team instead." The natural reaction is to go smaller. Find a sole practitioner. Work directly with the person whose name is on the door. That solves one problem and creates another. A single advisor has a capacity ceiling. When two clients need attention in the same week, something gives. Or the founder quietly subcontracts and the client never knows. The mid-tier firm hides the junior. The sole practitioner hides the contractor. Both models break the same promise. Evoke Advisory is built on a third option. Senior-led means one experienced strategist owns the engagement, sets the strategy and is accountable for the outcome. When more capacity is needed, it comes from senior practitioners with comparable depth, disclosed up front. Never juniors behind the curtain. The promise isn't that I type every email. It's that I lead the work, I'm accountable for it, and you always know who else is involved and why. A model that scales without diluting. #StrategicCommunications #Consulting #ClientExperience #SeniorLed #EvokeAdvisory
