From the Games Communication Centre to the State Disaster Coordination Centre: what Brisbane 2032 needs to get right on community engagement

During GC2018, I ran transport communications for more than one million spectators from inside the Games Communication Centre. During Cyclone Yasi and Cyclone Debbie, I coordinated emergency communications reporting to the State Disaster Coordination Centre. Brisbane 2032 sits at exactly this intersection, and the lessons from both matter more than any textbook.
